Gator Bar at HOB
The vibe | The bar in the HOB restaurant, dubbed the Gator Bar, is surrounded by the eclec tic mix of folk art that adorns the majority of the establish ment, featuring gargoyle-like statuettes and child-like paint ings.
Soft, warm lights and muted colors give guests a feeling of warmth and welcome in this homey section of the venue.
The crowd | The majority of customers are eager concert fans or visitors looking to enjoy the local entertainment.
Food and drink | The House of Blues features its own unique drink menu in addition to usual draft beers and liquor mixes, such as the Pineapple Upsidedown Cake, which could be considered a dessert and drink rolled into one.
Happy hour is 7 days a week from 4 to 7 p.m. and features $2.75 house liquors, $2 domestic bottles and 12 wings for $2.95. Nothing beats the Southern- inspired menu offered. From catfish poboys to meat loaf, the food is rich in flavor and decently priced.
Entertainment | Stop by the Gator Bar on Tuesdays for live music on Reggae Night or step out on the back deck on Mondays for Bluesapalooza, featuring local bands, Thursday nights for Rockstar karaoke, and Friday and Saturday, jam with the house band N'Tranze.
