Medieval Times revamps show

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament of Myrtle Beach is off and running with a new live production.

The show of jousting, swordplay and falconry, revamped for the first time since 2003, spans two hours.

Highlights include new new characters such as a prince and newlywed princess. as well as new lighting, choreography, music, battle scenes, horse dressage elements by the show's Andalusian stallions, and use of a high-output snow machine.

Show officials said work on the new production began in spring 2005 and debuted last year in Dallas, and that new shows are put into place every five years.
